چکیده

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) has a major public health concern. It can be identified throughout the chain of production for poultry, which raises questions regarding potential transmission from farm to consumer. MRSA zoonotic significance and transmitted humans poultry. Several studies have been carried out on but this study was conducted find whole scenario at level. A total 100 samples were collected randomly different poultry farms retail shops in Khulna city investigate study. isolated by culturing antibiotic susceptibility testing, polymerase reaction (PCR). Among samples, 57% positive S. aureusand 80.70% showed hemolysis blood agar. 57 isolates, 78.94% (oxacillin) 19.29% vancomycin-resistant (VRSA) phenotypically. Surprisingly, 59.64% results mecA gene. is also concerning that 60% broiler meat 53.84% personnel infected with MRSA. The present revealed could humans.

Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)

Staphylococcus aureus is responsible for a broad range of clinical infections, most notable of which are cases of bacteremia and endocarditis. Staphylococcus aureus is an important cause of serious infections in both hospitals and the community. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) were first reported in 1961 and the first hospital outbreak of MRSA was reported in 1963. When MRSA ...

Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)

Staphylococcus aureus is an opportunistic pathogen often carried asymptomatically on the human body. Methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) includes those strains that have acquired a gene giving them resistance to methicillin and essentially all other beta-lactam antibiotics. MRSA was first reported in 1961, soon after methicillin was introduced into human medicine to treat penicillinresistant...

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)

MRSA was isolated from pus, urine, breast discharge, blood culture, cerebrospinal fluid, and ascetic fluid [2]. The extensive use of antibiotics over the last 50 years has led to the emergence of bacterial resistance and to the dissemination of resistance genes among pathogenic organisms [3]. In addition, since few cells in a population might actually express resistance, these heterogeneous str...

Evaluation of Different Phenotypic and Genotypic Methods for Detection of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)

Background: Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) has been emerged as a nosocomial and community acquired pathogen worldwide. There are many challenges for laboratory detection of MRSA. The aim of this study was to compare different phenotypic methods with PCR based method as a gold standard for detection of mecA gene. <b...
